Partner: Ministry of Administrative and Institutional Reform of Benin (MRAI) | Closed | 2003-04-01T00:00:00 | 2010-03-31T00:00:00 | ["Benin 100.00%"] | Canada School of Public Service | ["Public sector policy and administrative management 70.00%", "Public finance management 30.00%"] | 4123517.69 | Results achieved by this project (completed in 2010) include: Officials in the Ministry of Administrative and Institutional Reform (MRAI) received management training and tools were developed to assist them in their duties. An inventory of over 500 employment records was created as a database of public service management positions, to make the public service recruitment process objective and transparent. During the last year of the project, dialogue with Beninese authorities was intensified to promote effective application of the tools developed to optimize the implementation of reform. The project also helped to improve the services available to citizens by creating two project teams to address issues relating to improving the quality of service to users and to the introduction of computers in the User Relations Service within the Ministry of Labour and the Public Service. Among other things, this simplified and expedited procedures and turnaround in providing administrative documents. 300 women in the public service received training in leadership and personal development, which resulted in greater mobilization and involvement in the reform process. | Donor country personnel | Bilateral | Aid grant excluding debt reorganisation | Global Affairs Canada | WGM Africa | Pre-APP | ["Gender equality", "Environmental sustainability (cross-cutting)", "Participatory development and good governance", "Trade development", "Biodiversity", "Climate change mitigation", "Climate Change Adaptation", "Urban issues", "Desertification", "Children's issues", "Youth Issues", "Indigenous Issues", "Disability", "ICT as a tool for development"] | ["1000000.00", "1000000.00", "1000000.00", "1000000.00", "200000.00"] | ["6.49646 2.60359"] | ["2003000063"] | ["Canada School of Public Service "] | ["4123517.69", "147325.00", "204162.00", "247041.78", "222388.05", "-112540.32", "261000.00", "234013.00", "299740.00", "175000.00", "121950.00", "100000.00", "26561.70", "-13759.41", "70000.00", "47673.14"] |
