Initially, the project involves 180 schools in Upper Egypt. All 180 schools achieved accreditation under the Ministry’s newly implemented school certification program. In addition, the project provided training and technical advice to three pilot Equal Opportunities Units with the Ministry of Education and also assisted with the development of an Equal Opportunity policy and implementation guides. As a result, the Ministry of Education established Equal Opportunity Units in all school districts.
