59 | CA-3-A031825074 | 2025-03-04T06:33:31 | Capacity Building in Development of ICTs by Indigenous Peoples, Phase II | The first phase of this project for the development of information and communications technologies (ICTs) resulted in the creation of the Indigenous Commission for Communications Technologies in the Americas, representing Indigenous Peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean. This second phase is part of a broader initiative that aims to strengthen the governance of the Indigenous Commission and increase its administrative capacity to operate at the continental level. Activities include training for the Commissioners, to develop their capacities in, and knowledge of, recruitment of other Commissioners, membership drives, fund-raising initiatives, and communications activities. The project also supports the organization of a strategic planning workshop on needs identified in the report on the First Indigenous Workshop on ICTs in the Americas. This project is funded through the Indigenous Peoples Partnership Program (IPPP), a pilot program that supports the development priorities of Indigenous peoples in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The IPPP supports initiatives conceived both by Indigenous organizations in that region and by their Canadian Aboriginal partners. The partnerships created through the IPPP contribute to the sustainable development of Indigenous peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean through an exchange of knowledge, experience, expertise, and existing models. | Closed | 2008-11-12T00:00:00 | 2009-12-31T00:00:00 | Metis National Council | ["Information and communication technology (ICT) 100.00%"] | 99500.00 | Donor country personnel | Bilateral | Aid grant excluding debt reorganisation | Global Affairs Canada | NGM Americas | Pre-APP | ["Gender equality", "Environmental sustainability (cross-cutting)", "Participatory development and good governance", "Trade development", "Biodiversity", "Climate change mitigation", "Climate Change Adaptation", "Urban issues", "Desertification", "Children's issues", "Youth Issues", "Indigenous Issues", "Disability", "ICT as a tool for development"] | ["America, regional"] | ["60000.00", "34500.00", "5000.00"] | [{"geoName": "6255150", "SRSName": "http://www.opengis.net/def/crs/EPSG/0/4326"}] | ["2008000626"] | ["Metis National Council "] | ["CA-3-A031825045", "CA-3-A031825060", "CA-3-A031825020", "CA-3-A031825067", "CA-3-A031825070", "CA-3-A031825073", "CA-3-A031825001"] | ["99500.00", "60000.00", "34500.00", "5000.00"] |
