The purpose of the project is to support Moroccan authorities in re-engineering the various components of the vocational training system, according to the skills-based approach (SBA), and in establishing the conditions needed to generalize this approach. | Closed | 2003-07-04T00:00:00 | 2010-02-08T00:00:00 | ["Morocco 100.00%"] | CIDE - Consortium for International Development in Education | ["Vocational training 100.00%"] | 10516838.78 | Results achieved as of the end of the project (November 2009) include: The elaboration and implementation of 22 programs using Competency-Based Approach (CBA) that teaches concrete skills rather than promote abstract learning in six sectors (tourism/hotel, textiles/apparel, handicrafts, agriculture, MMEE ( mechanical, metallurgical, electronic and electrical industries) and the tertiary sector; more than 100 vocational training professionals have been initiated to CBA; 11 Moroccan methodologists have been certified in more than 50 fundamental competencies of CBA; 100% of the trainees in the sector of tourism (kitchen/restoration) have found a job.
