67 CA-3-A031882001 2025-03-04T06:33:31 Policy Options CIDA’s contribution enables multiple Canadian partners (e.g. private sector companies, governement departments and agencies, universities) to provide technical expertise and training to the Government of China in support of policy reforms that contribute to sustainable development. China’s contribution covers local costs such as land and civil works, equipment, and salaries of staff. This project is part of Canada’s overall support to the reform process in China. The exchange of knowledge and experience not only strengthens policymaking in China, it increases professional linkages and understanding between Canada and China and contributes to social equity and good governance. The project aims to strengthen Chinese policy-makers’ ability to formulate and implement policies in the areas of environmental sustainability, human rights, democratic development, and good governance. Activities include roundtables, study tours, focused training, action research, seminars, and other learning events.
