81 | CA-3-A032016001 | 2025-03-04T06:33:31 | Strengthening the Social and Economic Research Consortium | The Social and Economic Research Consortium is an umbrella organization that brings together over 30 social and economic research institutions in Peru. Through this project, the Consortium's capacity to pursue its mandate of contributing to policy development in Peru is strengthened. The project enhances the level of national debate on key economic and social policy alternatives. It bolsters the academic community in order to produce and disseminate useful knowledge for analysts and decision-makers in the public sector, civil society, academia, and international cooperation. The project supports public sector reform, public administration, and decentralization, in line with the Government of Peru's priorities, which are also stated in CIDA's bilateral Programming Plan for Peru. The project also coincides with Peru's goal to have access to better information from around the country. The project is funded jointly with the International Development Research Centre. | Closed | 2004-04-15T00:00:00 | 2011-02-03T00:00:00 | ["Peru 100.00%"] | Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social | ["Public sector policy and administrative management 25.00%", "Democratic participation and civil society 25.00%", "Research/scientific institutions 50.00%"] | 4665641.74 | Results achieved as of the end of the project: The project succeeded in achieving most of its intended results relating to improving the institutional capacity of the Social and Economic Research Consortium to promote academic research and policy discussion. The Consortium’s work has increased cooperation among academic institutions; strengthened the influence of evidence-based research in policy making; and helped improve the quality of academic research in Peru. Results were achieved by offering yearly research grants (191 in total), regularly publishing academic literature, and forging alliances between academia and other sectors in Peru, including government and the private sector. | Project-type interventions | Bilateral | Aid grant excluding debt reorganisation | Global Affairs Canada | NGM Americas | Pre-APP | ["Gender equality", "Environmental sustainability (cross-cutting)", "Participatory development and good governance", "Trade development", "Biodiversity", "Climate change mitigation", "Climate Change Adaptation", "Urban issues", "Desertification", "Children's issues", "Youth Issues", "Indigenous Issues", "Disability", "ICT as a tool for development"] | ["680000.00", "1050000.00", "1050000.00", "1000000.00", "950000.00", "170000.00"] | ["-12.04318 -77.02824"] | ["2009200046"] | ["Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social "] | ["4665641.74", "100000.00", "284865.78", "72841.22", "120162.00", "253851.00", "271797.00", "300000.00", "223417.00", "173774.00", "244461.00", "108034.00", "173759.00", "27343.00", "300000.00", "256687.00", "52930.00", "155672.00", "-300000.00", "59735.00", "300000.00", "300000.00", "291532.00", "-286130.00", "286130.00", "286130.00", "208855.00", "-30895.00", "30895.00", "30895.00", "58384.00", "244875.00"] |
